Intro: As the curtain falls on Nehemiah's story Israel enters 400 years of silence. No prophets, no words from God, but a remnant in Israel remains. Then John the Baptist shows up on the scene. Finally, the word of God has reached his people again, and in the words of John the Baptist, "Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!" John 129. This week we begin our advent series: Behold.
